Weddings

Looking for a one-of-a-kind, intimate wedding venue, a space wrapped in history and romance? Butterworth Center’s story began at a wedding many years ago when Katherine Deere met the handsome William Butterworth in 1890 at the wedding of her sister, Anna Deere, to William Wiman. When Katherine and William later married in 1892, the magnificent Butterworth  Center (then known as Hillcrest) was a wedding gift to the newlyweds from

the bride’s father.

Today, couples can celebrate their own love story by reserving the Butterworths’ elegant home to make unforgettable wedding memories.          As the Quad Cities premiere micro-wedding destination, a choice of wedding packages are available for writing your story. Ceremonies can be held on the grounds of our private walled estate, or in the mansion’s grand library. There    is no need to be concerned about planning an outdoor wedding because the library can be used with inclement weather. Additional options after the ceremony include a cocktail reception, and tented dinner reception on the estate lawn.

Begin your married future with a walk down the aisle at the most unique wedding venue in the QuadCities—historic, gracious Butterworth Center.
